We loved our maui honeymoon!
*Condo:
http://www.alohacondos.com/
We booked our condo online and stayed on Napili Bay in west Maui. It was my favorite side of the island. (It seemed a bit greener) While we were there we had so much fun boogie boarding on Napili bay, getting mai tai's from the Seahouse and just relaxing on our beachfront lanai. It was nice having our own kitchen to make drinks and cook at. They gave us a great welcome basket too. We plan to go back next year we loved it so much. The only bad part was that the condo is So beachfront that the waves at night were louder than I would have liked, my husband loved it but it would startle me occasionally in my sleep.
We also did the following activities:
*Kayak Tour: http://www.mauiecotours.com/
We booked with Maui Eco Tours (thanks to a knottie's recommendation) and it was a blast! We got to see a few sea turtles and get out of our kayaks and swim around. The guides were really informative and fun! We would definitely do this again!
*Road to Hana: http://www.gypsyguide.com/maui/
I highly recommend renting a GyPSy guide, it was so helpful and made the road trip way more interesting. We drove all the way around and really enjoyed the desert like scenery on the backside of the road. It was narrow in spots but totally fine, any car could make it...you just have to watch out for oncoming cars (which were nearly nonexistent)
*Couples Massage: http://www.mymauimassage.com/massagemenu.html
We booked a side by side couples massage at an outdoor cabana at Makena Golf and country club through Na Alii Massage. I found them on yelp and the rave reviews are true! The price was comparable to what we would pay on the mainland and it was sooo relaxing that I ended up falling asleep during the last 5 minutes.
*Old Lahaina Luau: This was my first luau and we had fun! It would have been better if we both were able to drink but since I was driving I wasn't able to. The food was delicious and the performers were entertaining!
*Haleakala: We woke up super early and drove to the top of the crater to watch the sunrise, it was breathtaking and super freezing cold, seriously, bundle up. We packed our beanies and warm fleece jackets and I still ended up hanging out in the small gift shop while I waited for my husband to take photos. There was a lady who worked up there that did an awesome Hawaiian chant as the sun rose too.
*Snorkel Honolua Bay: We rented snorkel gear from Snorkel Bob's in Napili Bay and drove north to this area, it was well worth it. You walk through this really neat forest like trail before you reach the rocky shore at the end. We read in our travel book to stay towards the right of the bay and we definitely saw more coral and fish over there!
*Maui Revealed was the book we used, we have 4 of their books (Oahu, Kauai, Big Island and Maui) and they really are the best!
